The Problem with Meph
No, not that problem.
The problem I have and will always have on the internet is finding my niche. It’s the advice I received when I first stepped into the digital landscape a decade ago with nothing but passion, a dream, and some writing ability.
Every bit of advice I received was ‘find your niche, grow your brand.’ It turns out I don’t have a niche. I am me. I am all the things contradictory and complimentary across a spectrum of genres and interests. It’s time I follow the other advice I received: be yourself.
I’m going to be myself now. I tried finding a niche and while I was never someone else, I did hide the full breadth of who I am and what I love to try to ‘make it.’ I’m not concerned with making it anymore. I just want to be me on the internet and hope it leads somewhere someday.
