PS4 This Post is NOT about the Interface
These may be the most unlikable human beings I’ve ever seen in a video game commercial. And I remember the Virtual Boy release trailer.
“I do need a bottle of Cialis but that guy was unbelievable as a character,”aren’t words I would utter for a number of reasons. Chief among those reasons being that I’m virile like a fox. Or that commercials are assumed to be of a lower caliber of acting, production, and so on.
The Coen Siblings aren’t exactly directing the Neosporin ads. Teaser trailers are advertisement. Build hype and sell crap are their goals.
But as advertisement goes, the three characters really annoyed the shit out of me. It was like I was watching a parody of ABC family kids play video games as only briefly described to them by a sea urchin.
And who the fuck says “D00d, I’ll be there in a sec” in this auspicious year of our lord, 2013.
Here’s an experiment. Turn off your sound and watch their faces.

The interface is passable.
Hopefully I can turn off the women interrupting my game play feature. My fiance already bugs me to do chores and stuff when I sit down to play a game. I don’t need her sending me smiley faces and shit too.
