My Favorite Time of the Year: AGDQ
I look forward to AGDQ all year like some folks do their Birthday or Christmas.
Short version of what it is? A bunch of speed runs of games new and old for charity (The Prevent Cancer Foundation). It’s a marathon, a great excuse to burn some vacation days and watch video games. You can donate some money, save some lives, and watch games that crushed your dreams as a kid get destroyed.
This year is extra special because some of my friends over at World 9 Gaming are physically there providing support (and a shit load of consoles and TVs). It’s sort of like knowing someone famous for me. And the next best thing to being there myself… one day though.
I fully encourage you to check out AGDQ. If you can donate, awesome. If you can’t, spread the word on social media via the #AGDQ2015. You might be too strapped for cash to donate (and trust me I understand) but you could connect someone to the event and make a difference that way.
