Playstation Plus

I’m not going to advocate paying for a service to enable features that should be included in a game… so do not take this as an endorsement for Playstation Plus.

However, this month’s free games are Valiant Heart and “New and Tasty” (Or the “ground up” remake of Oddworld: Abe’s Odyssey). Two absolutely worthwhile games. Playstation Plus keeps doing this to me… it rewards my procrastination. I was about to buy both of these games a few months back but ended up receiving them for free and saving money. It happened with First Light, Transistor, Spelunky, and a handful of other titles too.

I’m overall ambivalent toward the idea of remakes and reboots but Abe’s Exodus is a game featured on my mental list of best games of all time. A remake of its predecessor might deserve an actual review. More on that later… for now I have a deathtrap factory to escape.
