Anime Milwaukee’s First League of Legends Tournament

I’ve avoided the subject of League of Legends on this blog quite deliberately. But shameless self-promotion comes before morality.

My friends from World9Gaming (of AGDQ2015 fame) host a mean video game room. (Seriously, if you’re on a convention board, or thinking of starting one they’re the finest in the Midwest). In addition to dozens to a hundred plus consoles classic to modern, they provide a top notch LAN gaming experience. This year at Anime Milwaukee they’re expanding that experience to include a League of Legends tournament. To that end, I was contacted to help.

So there you have it AMKE will be hosting its first ever LOL tournament with the help of World9Gaming and your’s truly. While AMKE will be taking live registration, the tournament is capped at 32 teams so register early on line by sending an email to videogaming@animemilwaukee.org with the subject “League of Legends Tournament Registration.” Include the name of your team and all summoners participating as well as a contact email address.

As for details on the tournament check them out on AMKE’s Programming Page.

Short version? It’s a standard draft mode 5v5 single elimination tournament on The Summoner’s Rift.

I hope to see everyone at Anime Milwaukee this year. I’ll be hosting a pair of panels and lurking around the video game room.
