Super Cereal: A South Park Stick of Truth First Impression

It is downright offensive how well-tuned South Park: Stick of Truth is mechanically speaking.  In terms of gameplay for a turn-based RPG it is the best I’ve seen in years.  I’m stunned.  The rest of the industry should be very disappointed in themselves that some game designed to make as many dick and shit jokes as possible has better gameplay.

Story is a large portion of the RPG genre and I personally have an issue giving a fuck about a plot that equates to trolley car on tracks riding past and waving to each and every joke the South Park series has ever made.  It’s shameless self-exploitation and it revels in it.  I almost respect that though.  Almost.

As far as games with good mechanics but purposely bad story goes, I rate this game above Bayonetta.  But only because there is a drought of RPGs.  If I have the time I’ll do a full write-up when I finish the game or finally get tired of being this far up Trey Park and Matt Stone’s ass.
