Wreck-it Ralph

I watched Disney’s Wreck-it Ralph.  I’ve heard a lot of negative criticism about it from varying sources.  Honestly, it wasn’t bad.  A movie based off of video game tropes that the common consumer would get has inherent handicaps.  It’s not the nerdfest gamers want it to be.  It’s not Up like cinema geeks want it to be.  Recognizing that will allow you to enjoy the film for what it is:  a Disney movie involving video games that the family can watch.  It made me laugh at times, it mad me sad at times.  My fiance even got a couple of the jokes based off more obscure tropes.

The best part for me involved graffiti in a subway tunnel.  It was positioned slightly off center and the scene transitioned quickly.  I saw it, thought I misread it, and re-winded it to confirm my suspicions.  It said (Mouse Over – Spoiler Here).  It was awesome.

I consider the film a success.
