Bloodbourne: A First Impression
I picked up my copy of Bloodbourne yesterday. After spending a few hours with it I have some first impressions.
The setting and actual map design are great – both improvements on Dark Souls which are generic fantasy with a grim dark filter and linear. The combat is the same for the most part. Don’t worry the dodge is STILL sluggish and delayed because… difficulty. But the weapons look cooler.
They’ve added some gimmicks and renamed some shit. Fans of Dark Souls all have Stockholm syndrome by now so they’ll be happy.
But really the most important part is that I could make my character look exactly like David Bowie and that’s fantastic. The thought of Bowie fighting nightmare creatures just puts a smile on my face.
