Summer Games Done Quick
Summer Games Done Quick has begun. They’re starting big by running Okami. The awesome thing about featuring Okami, apart from it being an excellent game, is that it’s never been run in a marathon before.
I’ve personally taken off for the extravaganza and intend to spend the next four days playing copious amounts of video games, purely for leisure. Apart from having an excellent excuse to play games, the SDA marathon donations go to a good cause. All money collected goes to Doctors Without Borders proving that video games aren’t just a waste of time; they save lives man.
Speedruns not your thing? That’s cool. Saturday is Winmas – a national gamer holiday. Okay, so the name is a work in progress… point is it’s a day of celebration. Dust of your old consoles or grab a modern favorite, invite some friends over, and have fun the way we’re meant to – lost deep in escapism with some buds. It’s a day to forget the console wars or that CoD sucks and just play.
